COMMUNITY – Welfare, Hopeline, Legal & Career Counselling, Prison & Hospital Ministries….WelfareWe are mindful that whilst we desire for our members to prosper in all areas of life, occasionally a temporary setback may cause them to have a short-term need. The Welfare department exists to help meet needs of those requiring assistance (subject to panel discretion). Beyond the local Church, there is Grocery & Cash Ministration. Food & Household items collected and monetary donation, these are used to help the brethren who are still looking for a job, or just arrived into the UK, and even non working single parents. HopelineHopeline is the telephone and counselling ministry of Dominion House, where members can speak or meet with the Pastor for one to one prayers, counselling and guidance on their personal challenges, using the word of God as the basis, and with the direction of the Holy Spirit. Legal CounsellingResponsible for helping members and the community with all matters to do with the law. Presently, the department liaises with the Christian Legal Practitioners to provide advise on issues such as housing, immigration, family and legal matters. The vision is to be able to run a legal department that offers full legal advise and representation as the Lord helps. Career CounsellingProvides training in skills and techniques used for effective job hunting or search. CVs are screened and assessed by experienced consultants with many years recruitment experience. Career guidance and advice is also on offer for people requiring such service in the community. Prison MinistriesSome selected Prisons within Croydon, Lambeth, Sutton & Merton Boroughs are periodically visited by our prison ministries. Their visits is to let the inmates know that Jesus was once a prisoner for the offence he did not commit and that He is a friend of prisoners. It is essentially a counselling service provided for inmates. We also send our monthly publication “Dominion Voice” to these prisons. We also send our monthly publication to some prisons to as far as Austria. Our vision of prisons is to visit all prisons within London on a regular basis as the Lord helps. Hospital VisitationThrough our hospital ministry, we bring the Chief Physician, who was wounded for the healing of the sick to those in hospital beds. We visit hospitals, hospices, institutions & homes demonstrating the healing power in the blood, in the might of the Holy Spirit, and in the name of Jesus to the Glory of God the father. FamiliesDominion Ladies FellowshipThis ministry ministers to the various needs of women through friendly interactions, and special prayers, seminars and teachings. Dominion Youth’s Ministry This ministry unites all youths in Dominion House with strong ties among them, encouraging one another to grow in a Christian environment channelling much of their enthusiasm and strength into a fun filled and fruitful Christian life. Dominion KidsDominion kids are a place for children of all nations. The children are taught the word of God using various media that appeals to their emotions and intellect. They also engage in other social activities, for example, songs, dance, games, puzzles etc…These are done based on the word of God and geared towards their morals developing in order to prepare them for the future as leaders of the world. Education, Training & DevelopmentTraining & DevelopmentIt is an integral part of our calling to train believers to discover and maximise their potential in Christ and to prepare for their various ministries. EducationAs part of our method to catch the young of this great nation for Christ and to re-introduce them to the God of their fathers, we have the vision of establishing schools of high academic, moral and religious standard free as the Lord enables us doing. We also want to have a school system for children with challenging behaviours that have been rejected from mainstream society or cannot be admitted into schools. We aim to train and make them pupils with a purpose and a fulfilled life. We are believing God to enable this vision a reality. A day care centre for the under fives. This will be of benefit to mothers especially to single parents and those that cannot afford to pay for child minders. This will commence as soon as we acquire a building of our own by the grace of our God. We are presently raising funds for this project. OutreachEvangelismWe have the mandate to reach all nations, tribes and tongues for Christ as the Master commanded us in Matthew 28: verse 19-20. It is our vision to see the knowledge of the glory of the Lord covered the earth even as waters cover the sea. Aggressive evangelism sharing the Lord of God to mankind, mass mobilisation of souls into his Kingdom. Peaceful campaign of the imminent arrival of our Saviour. Our evangelism is street based as well as a combination of traditional marketing methods, for instance, leaflets and brochures. By motivating our members to invite their friends and neighbours to our meetings where we practically show them the love of God and demonstrate the evidence of the gospel to them via miracles, signs and wonders. Follow Up & VisitationWe also have the mandate to help those who have decided to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, become established in the faith. Our follow up team is responsible for the caring of converts. They also assist the Pastors and zone coordinators to see to the welfare of members by phone calls and personal home visits. |
